Creating opportunities for more people to experience adventure. We believe outdoor experiences should be welcoming and achievable for as many people as possible. We recognise that every participant has different needs, abilities and circumstances, and we take a solutions-focused approach to reducing barriers to participation.Due to the nature of our activities, operating environments and inherent risks, we cannot accommodate every need. However, with flexible programming, additional time, experienced guides, appropriate equipment and early planning, we can often support a broad range of participants to safely engage with nature-based experiences. We welcome conversations with customers, families, schools, support workers and organisations to understand individual needs and explore practical solutions.
Planning for individual needs We start the conversation early. Our booking and pre-arrival processes help us understand a participants needs before they arrive. This allows our team to plan appropriate support, which may include:Adjusting activities, timing, pace or program structure.Providing additional guidance, equipment or staff support.Modifying equipment or including additional rest stops where required.Working with support workers, carers and organisations to develop individual participation plans.Providing experienced guides, including Wilderness First Aid qualified staff, to support self-guided adventures where requested. Our goal is not simply to identify barriers, but to find practical ways to enable participation wherever possible.
