Have you watched 10 and 10 Play’s The Yes Experiment? In this TV program (broadcast on 10 and on demand on 10 Play), kids tell their parents what adventures they want to go on, and their parents have to say yes! Of course saying no is an option, however for parents Rachel and Phillip Toula, it was all ‘yesses’ to their sons Israel and Elias’ requests as they headed into the Yarra Valley. Rachel wasn’t quite expecting her boys to ask to go caving with Warburton Adventure Co. but when they did, she was keen, replying excitedly: “The answer to that is a big Y E S – yes, yes!” So, after a morning spent swinging their legs outside Puffing Billy in Belgrave, and picking fruit at Rayner’s Orchard in Woori Yallock, the kids and mum Rachel met WAC’s adventure guide Zec and co-founder Liesel at Britannia Creek for a caving adventure.For Rachel, caving was not what she expected. “This was the part where we got out of our comfort zone!” she says on the program. “I thought caving was walking through a cave: beautiful, darkness, water maybe: it was nothing like that! It was tight holes, dark spaces, scary moments and I loved every minute of it!”Her boys were impressed with mum Rachel’s effort too: “There was a lot of tight gaps and we thought that she couldn’t fit, but she actually did!” As Rachel explained: “We were in it together, facing fears, all three of us!”WAC loved hosting the family and TV crew on one of our amazing family-friendly adventures (it’s suitable for children aged 5 and above!).
